But since "Sumi" (especially "Showa Sumi") is so fickled for the first couple of years breeders have a most difficult time retaining their best Shiros and Showas.
If ever there is a variety that afford the hobbyist to get a Grand Champion it will be a Shiro or Showa away from a breeder for a pittance as a butt-ugly tosai these are the ones.
