I am in the process of building new fiberglass trays to replace the wooden trays of my shower. At present I am using lava rock for the media. As far as I can tell this is working well. When I set up the new fiberglass trays should I keep the lava rock, or try something else? I can't afford the Bacteria House Media. What about plastic bio balls? Or black Matalla pads? |
