Of all fish pathologists I know of, the one I trust implicitly is Dr. Goodwin at UAPB. They do KHV testing, state of the art.
I thought they did such tests in California at UC Davis.
Any pathologist worth thier salt will tell you that KHV testing is not 100%, not even close. However, much better than nothing.
Still no test to detect latency beyond a certain point. So, a latent carrier can be tested again and again and come up negative until it begins to shed virus.
