Flow Ranger Back Flush Waterfall Filter

Here are some pictures of the FLOWRANGER Back flushable waterfall filter. This waterfall filter is equipped with the "AIRBOIL" backflush air assistance for cleaning.

On this pond's set-up since I have the Cetus Sieve on the bottom drain circuit and the Wave 24 with the Accelerator Static Pre-Filter, I am going to aerate this filter to maximize my bio-load. AND of course when I clean the waterfall filter, I can turn off the air to the bottom drain and CRANK up the air full tilt to the Flow Ranger filter to maximize the cleaning process.

If you'll notice the harness on the top of the filter & the three-way valve, you can see that I have the ability to reverse the water flow from the bottom of the filter to flush in from the top of the filter and of course open a drain at the bottom of the filter to clean and flush out any solids that may accumulate. The drain runs into the blue 55 gallon drum, you may have noticed in the photos earlier on in this tread, that is then pumped out to our orange grove.

This filter has two 36" Matala Rounds which is rated for approximately 1600 gallons of water if my math serves me. I will modify the "AIRBOIL" manifold so that I can fit another Matala Round in the filter moving my biological ability to 2400 gallons. Now this koi pond is 3000 gallons but let me remind you the filter is aerated which will increase the filters ability to carry out the nitrogen cycle and I have the Accelerator Static Pre-Filter which will give me some Biological activity in the three bags of Bacti-twist that comes with it, along with the bead filter that is in the T.P.R. line. I should be covered................
