Well I determined my bead filter is a P.O.S. I had to cut it out of the system. I will end up with a repaired modified P.O.S. Bead filter in my system in the next week or so. In the mean time, I cut it out of the system and my T.P.R line will be bypassed. Long boring story!
Maybe I'll make a little loop so I can turn the T.P.R. line on while I make modifications. I sure noticed a difference in the performance of my skimmer once the T.P.R. was bypassed.
The biggest lesson learned here was: I didn't have a valve in my T.P.R. line so I had to drain the pond down below the T.P.R. to remove the P.O.S. bead filter!

So needless to say, I installed a ball valve for future repair work
when necessary.
