| We cannot call a koi a herd anymore than we can call a cow a herd. A herd is a group. I've heard people call their koi pigs and cows as an analogy to their eating habits. I've heard "herd" used as an affectionate metaphor for one's collection of koi. It is a harmless description by and large and I just don't understand how the linguistics of this seems so huge to people.
But some people seem to think calling a koi a "piece" is not derogatory. Shall we call this place "Piece-Bito," then? It's as inappropriate as "Herd-Bito" would be.
What an ignorant argument this has turned into.... |
