| I do not know the specific development patterns of Marusho utsuri. I can state that the sumi on the head has tightened up and is actually less. So, I'm not worried about it overwhelming the head pattern. Here is a development picture of my other Marusho utsuri. This one was purchased on the same day as the other...2 years ago. The picture on the left was at 4 inches. The picture on the right was from last season. Not a great photo...but a nice utsuri. A little smaller than the other...not sure of the gender yet.
