Hey everyone...
I am still new in this hobby and last week I tested my tap water and pond water, both read PH 8.0 and KH 5.0(took 5 drops to turn to yellow) with the sera test kit. I suppose I need to raise my KH, with seashells or oyster shell?
Me a bit confused, but if I raise the KH, wouldn't I raise the PH at the same time, as I would like to lower the PH to about 7.5 if possible. Can the gurus offer me some insight as how I shoudl go bout to achieve this? Thankx.
PS: i woudl like to add carbon active as part of my filtration to help clear the water, would it clash with oyster shell?
