| The perfect "koi pond system" was first found in the old village of Kimikomai. After some of the village elders were shunned by the village of Himitsu to form a chapter of the NWA(Nishikigoi With Attitude). At this time NWA was the club to be part of if one wanted to become a "True" koi hobbyist, so the elders of Kimikomai decided to form their own club called KNC(Kimikomai Nishikigoi Club)....Mind you all of this was happening after the "Potato Uprising" and the Samurai Attack against the Emporer. Anyways, the KNC felt the need to develop something that would make their fish standout great than the NWA club members fish. The NWA at the time were still preaching canals as the best way to house fish, the only problem is that you could only see the fish during the time of feedings. The village elder Hiro of the KNC said it is stupid not to be able to enjoy your fish, plus it sucks walking up and down a canal looking for your fish you threw in there. Hiro took some river rock and lined a 10' by 10' pond with it, he also added a bottom drain made from 6" bamboo stock....
