I am glad to hear you will be alright.
Years ago I was cutting some cast iron pipe with a grinder. I was not wearing goggles and I got a few shards in my eyes. I am very stubborn so I put up with the pain for a few days. Did I mention Kari was out of town? It was very hard to even see but I got myself to the hospital. It seems the cast iron had rusted on my corneas and the doctor said that he would have to grind the rust off. He put some anesthetic in my eyes and used a dremel tool to grind the rust off. It was really strange because I had to be awake and I was watching the dremel tool as it was grinding my eye.
The doctor asked if I had anyone to drive me home, and because he would not let me leave unless I said yes, I lied and was able to drive myself home. About halfway home the medication wore off and I could no longer see. Some how I made it home and just as I got into bed and put my dark glasses on, Kari came home from LA and asked, as she saw me laying in bed with dark glasses on, what are you thinking?
