I have had a Seq. 5800 with "priming pot attached for 2 years. Sequence pumps do an excellent job of pulling the water (with is my need). I find that the P pot is one more mechanical screen before my pump. It's not until you have the "pleasure" of dismantling a pump and cleaning the impellor that you truly appreciate that pot
