When I first started out in the hobby, not alot of dealers brought in Sakai(Isawa) fish here in NorCal. The ones that did bring in the fish looked to be too finished by conventional teachings. Back then who wanted to buy a Sakai(Isawa) Nisai that was only 12inches and carried a price tagged of a larger Nisai? Not very many people....So those who carried this breeder before stop doing so. I know of one hobbyist who made Sakai(Isawa) a name here on the West Coast and that was Tom Lansing with his many wins with that nidan Kohak in the late 90's.
