Just love that red cap, Ethan. What a character!

I recently and finally got into fancy goldfish with two red and white Ryukins and a black Ranchu. I had hoped that I'd picked male and female Ryukins, but wasn't prepared for the spawning a week after putting them in my tank. *LOL* Here's the blushing bride the day of the spawn:

Got a 40 gallon nursery going. Maybe 30-40 eggs look viable and they should be hatching any day. What a way to start into fancies, eh? *LOL* I can't get just one foot in. Oh no. Just gotta jump in with both feet and a wetsuit......

I suppose the ranchu is a female. Wasn't in the least interested in the spawning other than the banquet that ensued.....
