After looking at this pic, it's very hard to tell skin quality. Looking at body confirmation I like the bottom fish, but the whole package together, I like the top fish. Seems to have better kiwa, it's tighter/cleaner looking, but then the sashi on the kugaki step is a bit messy. This may clean up very well as it grows and the shiroji becomes thicker, just not sure from the pics. The "flow" of pattern seems more enjoyable on the upper fish TO ME. I would have to see better photos or in person to say more. I would say that I would keep growing these out and see what happens. Both are nice study subjects.
