maybe there's something in all of us that roots for the "underdog" but let's look again at #2.
I like the softer beni on #2 ,than on #1 which seems kinda hard to me. It also looks finished already?
The body shape on #1 to me is one that will be narrow and deep, and i think the #2 fish will be more barrel shaped.
also did you notice the red in the dorsal. Much stronger in #1 will pull down only half way. I think the red in the dorsal on #2 will pull down practically all the way providing a nice white dorsal.
and last and certainly least i think the #2 pattern when broken into thirds is better balanced with white and red in each portion than it's competitor.
ahhh, decisions decissions
(ultimately Erns Between you and me, you need to pick the koi that does it for you and while it's fun to get input from others, ultimately you have to feel comfortable with caring for this Koi for a number of years and seeing it every day )
