Actually, many folks think this fish is famous for only having the 'crown' on it's head. And although it is unique and makes this fish easily identifiable, it is this fish's shiroji that makes it a 'Hall of fame' fish. This fish had both fukurin and the 'new modern' skin of what is now common in high class koi, but uncommon at the time. The fukurin added another level of beauty to the new skin. JR |
