Great pics! Thanks. I have an Omosako that was acquired about the same time the growout contest started. So although I'm not in the contest, my shiro has been chugging along with the rest of you guys. I took her to the recent show because we had Mr. Omosako's eldest some as one of our judges and I was lucky enough to have him come over after the walk through and give me some impressions of her. Up until a month ago, the fish was completely white. In fact, when I bought her from Pan Intercorp I didn't even believe she was a shiro utsuri. Seriously, not even submerged sumi looking bluish... Nothing, nada, zilch! And now, in the past month or so sumi has been popping up all over the place. Looks like I painted it on it's so glossy. Also, a ton of submerged sumi. Very exciting!
