I like the pale asagi more.

I understand those are less popular too -- but a light blue soragoi with reticulation is really pretty to my eyes. The han is just icing on the multi-layer cake.
Turns out this asagi was a gift as well. The parallels continue? The dealer gifted the original owner with this tosai asagi when the original owner bought a sansai Gin Matsuba. The little guy was very shy about competing for food with the larger fish in that pond so after one thing and another it was gifted to me.
