The long-fins are offensive feeders. often i put out the treats later in the feeding when the longfins are a little full and less active.
I have a friend who had a koi community of differing feeding habits. He had 1 chagoi and the rest gosanke variety. He feeds them good quality colour-enhancing (hence expensive?) koi food and who ate most of them? The chagoi of course. My friend actually had to use a cane to chase away the chagoi during feeding until he got so fed up that he gave her away eventually.
