You cannot judge hi quality from what you see under the skin, that you do from areas where the hi is already up. Hi quality mostly comes from genetics, underlying hi is likely to come up just as the hi that is already up. One can include underlying hi to imagine what the finished pattern could be.

In my experience, sumi on pecs shrinks and thickens. There will be no motoguro if there is no sumi at all to start with.

As always, nature will have the last word, we can only guess, but good husbandry improves the odds.
