The body is the strong point. Unusual to see such strength in the back half. The Shiro is wonderful, though I'm wondering if there is some photographic magic involved. The Sumi appears to be lacquer. So far, everything I'd want in a Shiro Utsuri .... then, the pattern: not to my taste. Oh well, I couldn't afford anything that had everthing the way I'd like it.
