Redhot: I've had a wide range of estimates on gallonage from 9500 gals to 12,000 gals. The egg shape is tough to estimate. John McDonald, Keirin's filtration specialist, eyeballs it at 12,000 gal. I hope he's right. But if it is more than that I've got problems. I'd like to have the pond volume turn over every 45 minutes. Will be moving 16,000 gal per hour (conservative estimate) through one filter or another.
I've been having to work today, but here are some status shots.
Concrete base to the pond has been poured and given an initial finish. As it sets up the surface will be given a smooth finish. Meanwhile, the piers on which the Nexus units will sit have been finished, and given a smooth outer finish... nice to avoid scrapes when reaching under them.
