| Let me correct some confusion. The GC was the Kohaku to the left in the first group of photos posted. She has a dark dot on her shoulder in the Hi. (I heard a couple of explanations about that and would be interested in what the Japanese judges actually said about it.)
The maruten Kohaku was in the same tank as the Jumbo Award winning Showa. (Both owned by the Lembkes.) I think it was the Showa that was 34"? The maruten Kohaku received the mature award(?), but most notably, was selected for the Tategoi Award. Basically, she came in third in the Show, but was seen as the one that could come back to win in the future. |
