aquitori,
Mullberryjen took several pictures during the tour & promised to post some when she gets back online. I left my camera home so can't help you there. Hopefully, she will put some up soon.
We added an 8th pond to the tour yesterday, but most were of what you'd call the water garden variety, even though there were some small koi in a few of them. Only 3 of the 8 ponds were koi ponds, the others too small, too shallow.
I hope she got some good shots of the 15,000 gallon pond with about 100 koi in it, The largest about a 25 pound, big, fat soragoi. Another one that Mike Pfeffer called a 'guessagoi', which was about as unusual a koi as you'd ever want to see. Large mirror scales in an irregular pattern on the sides and a doitsu belly. Gold, yellow and brown colors. Looked like a cross between a matsuba and some type of doitsu. Wierd looking fish, but interesting and BIG.
C'mon jen, get those pictures up!
