| Dan I have to say that there is (in person a very noticeable differance in the sashi of these two.) #1 is razor sharp while, #2 meanders a bit.
I will say that when I asked one of the judges to elaborate on the verdict he said that #2 was a 'fish for the future' and #1 had such a sharp sashi that it it was placed higher now.
I personally like # 2s pattern better but it does have some flaws, namely hi in the tail fin and pecs. However I'm told that as a fish grows to GC size those flaws become less relivant.
