Didnt think one pump could ever get so much attention. I dont have 3 years of experience with this pump but have seen it and had a chance to play with it. Upon my recieving the pump and looking over it and testing to our standards it appeared not to leak. I tried several different methods but none of which showed the pump leaking. WE have only been manufacturing pumps for a round 5 years now so evidently there is more things we can learn over time. We have sold thousands of dragon pumps and have only seen a few bad wet ends. When any plastic part is injection molded there is allways a chance then in the colling process and when the machine operator retract's the item there is allways room for error, unfortunatly for us in the pump business this can cause quite a problem when a plastic piece needs to be water tight. It does not seem to be the issue as to the pump leaking or us not knowing the pump was leaking, it seems that is besides the point. The point i am sure everyone is trying to strees is the need to meet higher service and testing capabilties, ones that may have not been met in this case. Manufacturing maturity may play a key role in this instance. As any company grows they should strive to better assist the customer. To the best of our knowledge at that time, we felt we had met an appropriate means to testing and the pump showed no sign of leaking. Im sure in the future we will try to better test our units when a problem like this may arrise.
We are one of the faster growing pump companies in the market right now, because of our unique line of pumps. We manufacture very pond related pumps able to accomidate many different kinds of filter lines and pond applications. Gpm with watt per gallon me manufacture the most efficiant line of pumps.
Thanks to Steve C for helping us handle and rectifying this situation, thanks to any loyal customers and appologies to any dissatisfied customers.
