I'm with you. While these koi aren't giants, they are far from babies and come from a proven gene-pool. My females were 9"&10" long when they spawned this past spring and the average size of the offspring is 4"+ from a pond mutt gene pool. Several are in the 6"-7" range. With the size and genetics of KFG's momo's I would think 6"+ fry in a single growing season would be a reasonable expectation and an even better future as they continue to mature. Besides, as someone mentioned in a previous post the practice in culling now will benefit her in the future.
