I have used what you call a mud pond service in Japan. I have a few fish over there now. I pretty much pay the fee and don't think about the koi until fall. Its pretty much a gamble but again the payoffs are big. Its also a quick way to study how nishikigoi develop. I better stop here. I am starting to think about them..
