I can promise giving up is not in my vocabulary. I will need the members of this board to help me make a good go of this though. When it comes to culling I dont know a thing. Will have to grow out many of my first years koi and post pics and get the advice of you guys so I will know more about what to keep and what not to keep. I know a little but not enough to do this on my own. I just love koi, its that simple. With the knowlege of some of the member here I hope after the first kohaku spawn I will know what I need to know, then after I see how well my ponds work for me then maybe the next year I can spawn another type. If I can spawn kohaku and showa and sanke and raise good koi I will be happy. I think it will take three to four years just learning what I need to know about these three types.

I might even give away a kohaku of their pic out of my first spawn to members of this forum to show If they will just tell other where they got the koi. But I will first get some type of game going to see who wins the koi

You know I think three koi a year would be good. What do you guys think?
