.... got home from Miami to find it overcast, in the 50sF today and a drippy rain. Reminds me of Fall in Philadelphia. But, an old Camellia japonica 'Monarch' began to bloom while I was away, which brightened the day. It was first planted at my in-laws home in Jacksonville in the early 1960s. We relocated it to our yard in 1978. Not a fancy variety, but an early bloomer... one of the many reasons we cannot move to a different house.
