Also heard that a lot off tancho have been altered? Anyone on that?

I have this Oofuchi Kujaku that swam down the skimmer line to try and swim back through the bottom drain line. It was severely damaged, but has recovered remarkably. But on the back, just in front of the fin, the hi has been scraped of, and there is now a white patch. Will this return to beni? Also, some scales were scraped during this escapade, and although they were not lost, the matsuba pattern has gone an returned only slightly untill now (this all happened the 30th of April). Will the matsuba pattern return to the scales?

Thanx

it looks to me, after reading this thread, that although the entire pattern can be altered, changing the pattern on the head is the easiest. so theorhetically you could take that big kohaku that lost all of his hi except on his head, and make him an awsome tancho.

now i guess that would be allright if you were doing it to your own fish to improve it and thereby improve the hobby, but if you were intending to increase the value of the fish and then sell it or show it, that just seems wrong.

anyone know someone who can do this proceedure?
