I had an expensive aqua ultraviolet unit and it was a pain in the butt. The glass broke on several occasions and I had problems when changing the bulbs...and it shorted on me. I now use a tetra 3, 40 watt unit. It is cheaper and has worked well for 4 yrs now. No green algae.. and takes 4000gal/hr of flow. I'll stick with my cheap UV!! I change the bulb yearly as directed.
Are replacement UV bulbs easy to find? Ideally, I'd like to buy a few extra bulbs too when I first install the UV that way I'll have them available already whenever I need them...

Below is one unit I'm considering buying off Ebay. Does this look good for my setup?
