I've never been close to burn out but I do get frustrated with the challenges of getting my pond "right". Don't get me wrong- I like it when I put in the effort and it comes out right but since I've done the pond myself , I have to live with the consequences of my mistakes. Nancy- you are in a very inviable position- getting to work for/with a large dealer. I would love to have that opportunity. I'd also like to have the opportunity to place some fish in a domestic mud pond each year and see the results in the Fall. I'm not there yet. The same as what was previously expressed, I get a buzz out of purchasing koi but I desire to keep my pond population down so that is a struggle. Fortunately my tastes have improved and a desirable fish must have a long list of features that you just don't come by easily at the price I'm willing to pay. But burn out- no way.
