First off is that a landing net you are using??
If so you can damage the fish with these and most probably why its taking so long to catch them.
You will need a large pan net and a large bowl to transfer the fish to from the net and some practice i was like yourself and could never catch the fish and would come away with a backache and be more stressed than the fish!!!!!!
Now i can net bowl and look over the fish in no time
As has been said above pop down to a local dealer and ask them to show you what dealer do you use???
