| Anybody who has a chance to participate in this will never regret it. ZNA Southern Koi Association has a Maruyama grow-out project going on now. Folks got their Kohaku last March and will bringing them to the Central Florida Koi Show in 2+weeks. These Kohaku have been cleaning up at the shows around Florida in their size category. I have really enjoyed mine ... she is a "keeper" (even if no show wins). And they have the genes for growth. It convinced me that my next Kohaku will be another Maruyama.
(But another grow-out this year, so I may have a Hoshino tosai before I get a new Maruyama nisai! LOL)
