Successful ABAKS Koi Auction for KHV

Dear all:

I would like to thank All Bay Koi showchair, Mr. Larry Gil for working so hard to make the ABAKS a special and success koi show. In additional to that, thanks to Larry for more than willing to support the auction program for KHV cause when I first made the proposal auction program for KHV to Larry.

Special thanks to the following Northern California koi dealers for their contributions to make the auction program success and possible. All of their donated koi have been auctioned and will make a difference for the koi hobby that we all love dearly.

- Kevin & Nhung Pham of Genki Nishikigoi (www.genkikoi.com)
- Tom & Agnes Lai of Champion Nishikigoi (www.champkoi.com)
- Russ and Kari Peters of Peters & Son Koi (www.pskoi.com)
- Rob Barreras of Majestic Koi (www.majestickoi.com)

Thanks to Tino Granados, VP of San Franciso Koi Club. SFABAKC president and members, All Bay Koi Show team, my koi buddy Jackson Chen (jckoi), and all bidders for helping and bidding at the auction program...

Thanks to Michael Albino, president of the Albino Auction Company that came out to do the Koi Auction for KHV without any auction fee. They did it on behalf of the showchair Larry.

Thanks to Mr. Grant Fujita, the President of ZNA NorCal Chapter, who helped in describing the quality and value of each koi during auction for Auctioneer to auction each koi successful.

Special thanks to Jenifer Smith (mulberryjen), a koi kichi attending the show from Kentucky, for helping to bring thousand Koi-Bito KHV Flyers to the show on Friday night and spread them over during the show so that people have a chance to have the information and auction program for KHV.

Thanks to Brian Sousa, Publisher of Koi-Bito Magazine for supporting KB KHV program and allowing Koi-Bito forum as a special website for KHV auction program information

Special thanks to Joe Devera, ABAKS Coordinator. It is impossible to have this great show without Joe's contribution and dedication for koi hobby. Thanks to Jim North for all his works and traveling far from east coast to help out the show as well as KHV program. I am sure there were many other koi kichies working behind the scenes in helping to make ABAKS as a special show as well as for the KHV auction success. If I missed anyone, I am deeply sorry.....

As I mentioned very early on when trying to setup ABAKS auction program for KHV. The main focus is not only about money, but I want to bring the KHV awareness to the public which I believe this dreadful disease that has the potential to affect anyone and everyone if not stopped. It is also about the spirit of koi people that come together to do something good for the hobby and for nishikigoi appreciation.

Tino Granados has informed me that, SF Koi club has decided to send $800.00 to AKCA KHV Research Funding program to:
AKCA Project KHV
15514 Elm Part
San Antonio, TX 78247
c/c Ray Jordan

I want to thank you all for participating in this task and I think you all did a great job for the koi hobby.

Best Regards,
--Dinh Nguyen
