I do a great deal of infectious disease work professionally. Whenever an antibiotic says Gr+, Gr- and other things...be a little wary..they always end up with unforseen side effects. We had this a few years ago with a human drug called Trovan. This goes for people as well as animals. If its so strong that it kills everything...it will have side effects. A more specific antibiotic is always better than a broad spectrum(if you know the bug). Since we mostly know the bugs involved (pseudomonas and aeromonas) go for something that hits more specifically like a fluroquinolone, You'll be better off in the long run.

Glad it worked for your fish though!!
