Don't you just know it, Dan.
Especially the part in the text concerning the Sankuro A line that reads: "The clarity was in a class of its own. It was the bright sakura-beni, so to speak. The beni was just like dropping some blood over the body, and the skin was completely white. There was no darkness in beni - all bright, gorgeous, and piercing." Not only that, the babies produced from them "were just like that in 99% accuracy. All in unison."
And that is why I want to see pedigrees of bloodlines, so I can intelligently go about breeding what I want to see in my koi when the time comes. It's not about famous names, it's not about popular breeders, it's not about blindly buying a name brand of koi. A pedigree is one's road map to what s/he wants to produce, and without it is like driving with the sun shield still across the window--no telling where you're going to end up and the odds of wrecking are greatly enhanced....
