| Yes and no. This, like many things, is a relationship. It's relative. If the pump is pulling the filter chambers' water level down then raising the lid increasing the gap, (sometimes known as gappage) may allow more water to flow through being filtered. You are looking for the sweet spot where flow is maximized but is still somewhat sucked in, forced to hurry into the drain pulling LaCrap along with it.
