I heard this practice from more than one source, however my question is how does it impact your larger koi? About 2 summers ago I tried going with using med pellets only and my larger koi seem to struggle with it. They seem to work harder at getting enoungh food. Today I use a combinantion of 25% med sinking pellets, 25% med floating pellets, and 50% large floating pellets during the feeding season. If there are health benifits to using smaller pellets, maybe I should go back to using 100% med size pellets.
