Professor Benbow told us a fish with growth potential will have a wide distance between the eyes and a longer length from gill to eye than eye to nose. He also said there should be at least 4.5 head lengths from the nose to tip of tail. The showa has all that. It might be the way that the width continues to increase from the eyes to the gills that reminds me of a group of utsuri we had which grew into short stubby fish.
