The "scraping" is on the fish itself by using a microscope slide and microscope, but it seems you need some experienced help pronto. Where are you located? Please join a local koi club and find a Koi Health Advisor (KHA) in your area. I believe you may also be able to find one through the AKCA website (
www.akca.org).
