For the benefit of non-Floridians not familiar with Florida's geography, Florida is a long state. The North Florida Koi Club show was held just south of Jacksonville in the northeastern part of the state. Naples is in the southwestern part of the state. There is no locally established club in the southwestern part of Florida. (That is, no local organization to put on a show.) The drive between Jacksonville and Naples is approximately 6.25 hours without a rest stop (or 7+ hours if you obey the speed limits
). The issue here really concerns folks from the central part of the state choosing between two shows. It was unfortunate timing and hopefully the overlap will be avoided next year.
