Russ, your sense of humor is highly developed! LOL

The bottom line here folks is that salt is a medicine. there are correct times to use it and times not to. Indiscriminate use works against the health of your pond and koi.
From a mentality standpoint we all know that humans taking antibiotics is not something used for prevention. because of indiscriminate use in the past, a culture has to be made at the Dr's and a specific antibotic prescribed.the day of the broadspectrum is gone. All of it has to be taken, it can't be stopped ahead of time because we are feeling better.
in observation over the decades of involvement in koi I can assure you it takes more salt today to knock down certain parasites than it did 3 decades
ago. In order for life to go out it has to adapt or change to the challenges.
So the use of something willy-nilly will work against all of us over time.
