I like your retro drain. cool! Rather than the microscreen, I'd use a static kaldnes filter. I have built 2 of them and love them!! They take no electricity to run and are very easy to clean. On the down side, I have to clean it about every 3 days during the heaviest feeding season. But cleaning takes only a few minutes and I don't have to stand over it while it's cleaning. i go feed the fish, come back and dump the dirty water, and start the pump back up. Someone asked me for details about my static K1 filter, so I'll start a new thread this evening.
