| Russ, a few years ago I installed the same brand heater on our pond system. After about 14 months of operation the heat exchanger portion of the heater gave it up. After several discussions with the manufacturer they (the manufacturer) determined the heater was not designed for pond water (something about the make-up of pond water). Anyway, after you mentioned gas heater my thoughts of what I went through came back to me. I wonder if the newer heaters are now able to handle pond water? |
