| I agree - nice big one. Net needs to be bigger than fish. It may depend on the pond and other factors as much as the size of the fish. The smaller the pond the easier they are to catch. They are easier to catch with two nets. Easier still with two nets and two people. You will sense when the net is too small or too large.
I have been playing around with using a "tickler". Its a long light piece of bamboo with a small flag on the end. Instead of swishing around with the net, hold the net stationary in the corner with 1-1/2 hands and use the tickler to heard the fish to it with your other 1-1/2 hands.
