Hi all,
Would like to share this new koi with you. Was told that this is from Sakai Hiroshima Big Rose first paring with a Wakashoryu Sanke male. Unlike the regular Sakai Sanke Hi, this sanke has the Hi of the Rose kohaku or some say Pink Hi.

Being a sucker for adventure, I bite the bullet and got her to see how the Sumi will come out.
As you can see, on the left when she was jumbo tosai. The sumi is obvious at the tail joint. There is one sumi beside the dorsal fin and one more on the head Hi. It has been growing in Japan for one season. Just got her back last week. The pic taken today on the right shows her at Nisai.

When she arrived from Japan, only the sumi at tail joint remaine but now the sumi at dorsal is coming back . The sumi at Head Hi is still missing BUT there is a shade of submerged sumi on the right shoulder between the head Hi and the 2nd Hi patch. Hopefully this is a sign that more sumis will appers as she grows.
