| Indeed you can not make a fish more than genetics provide. But with high water quality, high DO, strong currents and good food....you give the koi the chance to be all it can be.
I would go for a deeper pond...and serious currents. The serious currents can be easily be created by cranking up air pumps on the BDs. I run a Airtech 80 on each BD. That really keeps the pond bottom clean, keeps up the DO, and provides great current for riverine carp. Remember carp are fish that came from serious river currents. |
