Erns, sorry to be late, I just noticed your response just now--

Matsunosuke gn is a strip of ginrin scales most typically along the sanke's side or peduncle. It is allowed to be ignored as a line trait and the fish is judged as 'normal scaled'. What I was suggesting with my comment is , if your fish is entered in sanke class and NOT Ginrin A, it will likely loose to matsunosuke gin as that gin is accepted easily in the sanke class.

Here is a sanke ( sorry for the quality of the picture) with a lot of matsunsuke gin- so it borders on being ginrinA. Still, this fish is good enough to compete in sanke proper as it has some wonderful elements--
